Pottstown, PA - February 22, 2025: The United States Kickboxing Alliance (USKA) held event 114 Saturday night at a sold out Sunnybrook Ballroom in Pottstown, Pennsylvania with fourteen bouts on the card, including three title fights.

There were four fighters from Pottstown on the card, three from King Street Kickboxing & Muay Thai and one from Droogs MMA & Jiu Jitsu. Three out of those four had a big crowd behind them as they won their bouts.

The main event of the night was a Pro K1 fight at 145 pounds between Daniel “Wildman” O’Neill, Droogs MMA & Jiu Jitsu, and Dylan Harnish, Mid-World Martial Arts (Bloomsburg, PA). The five round fight, three minutes each round, went the distance and resulted in all three judges scoring the fight 48-47, a unanimous decision in Harnish’s favor.

In what was considered the best bout of the night, Colin Hartey, Algeo MMA, and Bruce Owens, out of Philadelphia Striking Academy, fought to a draw. The three-round bout saw both fighters trade explosive kicks and punches. In the 2nd period, it appeared Hartey had a knockdown which did not seem to affect the judges scoring due to Owens’ aggressiveness.

The title fights were also explosive. Edward “The Hammer” Higgins, a local favorite out of King Street Kickboxing & Muay Thai, struck and knocked down Michael Sawyer, Hellfish MMA, two times in the 2nd period in the 195 K1 bout. The referee called the fight at the 1:47 mark in the second, awarding “The Hammer” the KO.

Lauren Rawls, out of Black Sheep Martial Arts, won the title by a split decision in a 110 K1 fight against Alaina Dutill (CFS Academy). It appeared that several fans thought Dutill could have also won this fight as she seemed to be both the aggressor along with landing many solid strikes for a good portion of the fight.

Dan Inch, also out of King Street Kickboxing & Muay Thai, knocked out James Taylor (The Academy), in 37 seconds of the 1st period in the 150 Muay Thai bout. The referee called the fight as Taylor seemed to easily rise to his feet after the big blow, but nevertheless it was at the ref’s discretion. Taylor was very upset with the decision as he jumped around the ring and let the ref and fans know how unhappy he was.
